[3] Jesus said, “If those who lead say to you, ‘Behold, the sovereignty in the sky!’ Then, the birds of the sky precede you If they say to you, ‘It is in the sea!’ Then the fish precede you Rather, the sovereignty is inside of you and outside of you When you recognise yourselves, they shall recognise you You shall understand that you are the Sons of the Father who lives Yet, if you shall not recognise yourselves then you are in poverty, and you are the poverty.”

[6] His disciples asked him, saying to him “Do you desire that we act to fast? What is the manner we must pray? Should we give charity? And, what should we practice regarding food?” Jesus said, “Do not lie and do not practice what you hate. For everything is revealed in the presence of the sky. Not anything that is hidden will not be revealed and not anything that is covered shall remain without being revealed.”

[8] He said “The kingdom is like a wise fisherman who cast his net into the sea. He drew it up from the sea being full of small fish Among them he found a good, large fish. The wise fisherman cast all the small fish down into the sea and chose the great fish without difficulty. He who has ears, let him hear.”

[9] Jesus said “Behold, he who is sowing comes forth filling his hand, he threw. Some indeed falls on the road. The birds came and gathered them. Some others fell on the rock and did not strike root down into the earth. They did not put forth sprouts upward to the sky. Some others fell upon the thorns. The seed choked and the worms ate them. Some others fell on the good earth and produced fruit upward to the sky. It produced 60 per measure and 120 per measure.”

[11] Jesus said “The sky shall be made to pass away and that which is above it shall be made to pass away. Those who are dead are not alive. Those who are alive, they shall not die. In the days when you ate the dead, you made it alive. When you come into the light, what will you do? In the day you were made one, you became two. Yet when you become two, what will you do?”

[12] The disciples said to Jesus “We know you will depart from us. Who is it that shall be made a leader over us?” Jesus says to them “From the place that you have come, you shall go to Jacob the Righteous. By his sake did the sky and the earth come to be, because of him.”

[13] Jesus said to his disciples “Compare me and tell me who I resemble?” Simon Peter said to him “You resemble a righteous angel”. Matthew said “You resemble a wise philosopher”. Thomas said “Oh teacher, my mouth cannot contain who you resemble”. Jesus said “I am not a teacher. Since you drank, you became drunk out of the bubbling spring which I have measured.” He took him, withdrew him, speaking to him three sayings. When Thomas had came to his companions they inquired of him “What did Jesus say to you?”. Thomas said to them “If I were to say to you one among the sayings that he spoke to me, you will take stones and cast them at me. A fire will come forth from the stones and shall burn you.”

[14] Jesus said to them “If you fast, you will beget yourselves a sin. If you pray, it shall condemn you. If you give charity you shall be doing evil to your spirits. If you go into the land and travel in the regions, if they receive you then eat. Those who are ill among them, heal them. For what shall go into your mouth shall not defile you. Rather, what comes from your mouth shall defile you.”

[15] Jesus said “When you see him who was not born from woman, prostrate yourselves on your face and worship him. He who is there, is your father.”

[16] Jesus said “People perhaps think that I have come to cast peace upon the world, and they do not know that I have come to cast conflicts upon the earth: fire, sword, and war. For there shall be five in a house. Three shall be against two and two against three. The father against the son and the son against the father. And they shall stand as solitaries.”

[17] Jesus said “I shall give to you what eye has not seen and what ear has not heard and what hand has not touched and what has not arisen in the mind of mankind.”

[18] The disciples said to Jesus “Tell us how our end shall be.” Jesus said “Have you then discovered the beginning, so that you inquire about the end? For at the place where the beginning is, there shall be the end. Blessed is he who shall stand at the beginning. He shall know the end, and he shall not taste death.”

[19] Jesus said “Blessed is he who was before he came into being. If you become disciples to me and heed my sayings, these stones shall be made to serve you. For you have five trees in Paradise, which in summer are unmoved and in winter their leaves do not fall. Whoever shall know them shall not taste death.”

[20] The disciples said to Jesus “Tell us what the kingdom of the heavens is like.” He said to them “It resembles a mustard seed, smaller than all other seeds. Yet, when it falls on the tilled earth it produces a great plant and becomes shelter for the birds of the sky.”

[21] Mary said to Jesus “Whom are your disciples like?” He said “They are like little children who are sojourning in a field which is not theirs. When the owners of the field come, they will say, leave our field to us! They take off their clothing in front of them in order to yield it to them and to give back their field to them. Therefore I say, if the householder ascertains that the thief is coming, he will be alert before he arrives and will not allow him to dig through into the house of his domain to carry away his belongings. Yet you, beware of the origin of the world. Gird up your loins with great strength lest the bandits find a way to reach you, for they will find the advantage which you anticipate. [22] Jesus saw little children who were being suckled. He said to his disciples “These little children who are being suckled are like those who enter the kingdom.” They said to him “Shall we thus by becoming little children enter the kingdom?” Jesus said to them “When you make the two one, and you make the inside as the outside and the outside as the inside and the above as the below, and if you establish the male with the female as a single unity so that the man will not act masculine and the woman not act feminine, when you establish an eye in the place of an eye and a hand in the place of a hand and a foot in the place of a foot: an image in the place of an image!—then shall you enter the kingdom.”

[23] Jesus says “I shall choose you, one from a thousand and two from ten thousand. And they shall stand becoming a single unity.”

[24] His disciples said “Show us your place, for it is compulsory for us to seek it.” He said to them “Whoever has ears, let him hear. Within a person of light there is light, and he illumines the entire world. When he does not shine, there is darkness.”

[28] Jesus said “I stood to my feet in the midst of the world and appeared forth to them in the flesh. I found nobody in their heart thirsting. My soul was given grief for the sons of mankind because they are blind in their hearts. They do not see forth and come into the world being empty. They anticipate also that they go from in the world being empty. But, now they are drunk. When they shake off their wine then they shall act to change their mind.”

[29] Jesus said “If the flesh became because of spirit, it is a marvel. If the spirit became because of the body, it is marvel of marvels. But rather, I myself am made to marvel at this: how this great wealth was placed in poverty.”

[30] Jesus said “The place having three gods, they are godless. The place having two or one, I myself exist with him.”

[33] Jesus said “That which shall hear in their ear, proclaim it upon your rooftops. For nobody kindles a lamp and puts it under measure nor puts in it in a hidden place. Rather, he places it upon a lamp stand so that anyone who goes in and goes out shall see its light.”

[35] Jesus said “It is not possible that someone goes into a house of a strong person and take it by strength, unless he binds his hands. Then he shall carry out his house.”

[37] His disciples said “Which day will you appear to us and which day will we see you?” Jesus said “When you undress yourselves naked, not being ashamed, and take your garments, place them under your feet in the manner of little children and trample on them. Then, you shall behold the son of Him who lives and you shall be made not to fear.”

[39] Jesus said “The Pharisees and the scribes took the keys of recognition and hid them. They did not go within, nor did they permit those who desire to go within. Yet you become astute in the manner of the serpents, and innocent in the manner of doves.”

[45] Jesus said “They do not harvest the grape from the thorn tree, nor gather fig from the briar path, for they give no fruit. A good person brings goodness from his treasure. An evil person brings wickedness from his treasure which is in his heart. He speaks from evil. For among the abundance of the heart, he brings forth evil.”
